There is a group of ice skaters competing in Hawaii. Two of them, a young man and a young woman are friends of mine. They are staying with me on the east side. One of them has a mom who is staying with me too. They are competing during the evening, and I am taking them to sites on our side of the island during the days.
They are about to fly off the island from the Kona, west, side, and I figure out that we have enough time for us to camp an evening and spend time on the beach. I think that the beach at Mauna Loa will be a nice place for them to spend, especially with the mom. Very calm, soothing and nurturing water.
We are at a very crowded campsite that looks more like a drive-in movie lot, during the evening, and the young woman and I walk to the restrooms to pee and change into our swim suits. It is starting to be evening.
There is a line in the restroom. There is a newspaper in the stall, and on the front page of the local section is a large and beautiful photograph taken of the ice skating competition with a number of skaters on the rink, and my young friends right in front. The photo catches the young man in a mid-air split. The headlines say that my young friends have won the Olympic competition. I didn’t know it was for the Olympics, and I am completely surprised, excited and joyous for them.
I take the paper outside and show the young woman, then notice that someone has a TV set nearby, and they are showing a re-run of the winning performance. I go to watch, and feel like I am transported right into the scene.
All the skaters are on the ice, and they and my friends are wearing baggy clothes for my friends’ performance. The group of about 20 skaters gathers in the center of the ring in an oblong formation, just appearing to be hanging out. My friends are skating around them. The female has her long, straight hair wrapped on top of her head, and the male has long hair about down to his shoulders.
As they circle, my female friend’s hair comes out of its hold and falls down around her. She skates forward, then stops about 30-40 feet away from the group and her hair completely encircles her, hiding her face and eyes. The young man comes to rest near the skaters closest to the girl, leaning back on the other friends. Then, their performance begins.
The group in the middle propel the young male into the air toward the girl. He lands softly and gently with his feet on either side of her and his arms lightly embracing her. She doesn’t flinch. The crowd is wild with applause.
With their hair covering their eyes, unable to see each other or where they are heading they begin to skate together. The young male begins to do acrobats with the girl, throwing her in the air, spinning her at his feet, and a whole manner of moves all done intuitively, gracefully, relaxing into complete beauty. Each knowing exactly where the other is, in complete trust of each other.
Myself, the live audience and all who are watching the performance on TV are inspired and transformed by this new type of performance.

Olympic Skaters Dream - Initial Broad Stroke Interpretation
For me this dream symbolizes integration between the newly maturing Divine Feminine and Masculine, the gift (skates) of dancing (ice-skating) beautifully, ease-fully, gracefully, intuitively, in complete trust and harmony with the support of a whole host of my male and female archetypes. Their attire and hair falling over eyes denotes a new orientation of relaxation around performance that becomes natural and second nature with practice and rehearsal. The live, recorded and remote audiences, represent the whole collective of my being. My whole collective is witnessing a new way of being and presenting my self that incorporates a shift in attitude (hair cascading), relaxing (clothing), trusting (between the partners). My whole being feels the transformative power of this new creative expression that beautifully integrates what is consciously being practiced in this world with opening to the flow of synergistic energies.
For me, water symbolizes unconscious emotions, and these masculine and feminine aspects are skating across the frozen, unconscious emotions with ease and grace. This could indicate a need to explore this aspect more deeply to uncover what may be unconsciously cold and emotional within me. There seems to be a symbiotic relationship here as the ice also supports and enables the skaters to perform so ease-fuly and gracefully.
The masculine/feminine and linear/non-linear focuses of the dream are being reinforced by the dream beginning on the east side of the island, then moving to the west side.
